About ESC

Strategy, operations, leadership, and implementation—working together.

Evans Strategic Consulting is an advisory firm for nonprofit executives, heads of school and education leaders, boards, foundations, associations, and mission-driven organizations. ESC also offers organizational capacity and implementation support to public-sector and institutional partners.

Our approach

Stabilization before strategy. Clarity before accountability. Systems before scale.

Organizations rarely struggle because the mission is wrong or people are not committed. More often, growth, transition, or complexity has outpaced role clarity, leadership capacity, visibility, and practical systems. ESC helps bring those elements back into alignment.

The work connects diagnosis to strategic choices, executive and board alignment, and disciplined implementation across five capabilities:

  • Organizational Strategy & Execution
  • Operating Systems & Organizational Capacity
  • Executive Leadership & Governance
  • Institutional Sustainability & Advancement
  • Education & Mission-Driven Organization Strategy

Certifications & procurement readiness

Certified and ready to partner.

Our engagement model

Senior leadership. Capability matched to the assignment.

ESC is an advisory firm. Rob leads diagnosis, strategy, executive alignment, and engagement integration, while qualified specialists may extend the team when an assignment requires additional functional expertise.

Engagements are designed around the organizational challenge, with clear scope, responsibilities, and working relationships. Rob remains responsible for integrating the work with the client’s strategic priorities and implementation needs.

Built for sustained execution.

ESC turns strategic choices into sequenced work, clear ownership, decision rhythms, and practical tools. Capacity-building and a deliberate handoff help clients sustain the work without continued dependence on ESC.
